1Overview & scope

This Privacy Policy explains what information Lumina Drop, developed by VuelvaTech ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, how it's used and who it's shared with. It covers the Lumina Drop Android app (the "App") available on Google Play.

The short version: there's no account to create and no server of ours storing your game. Your progress lives on your own device. What leaves your device goes to Google: AdMob for ads, Google Play for purchases and, only if you choose to sign in, Google Play Games for the leaderboard. The App does not use any analytics service.

2Information we collect

2.1 Information stored on your device

The App keeps the following in its private storage on your device. It is never sent to us. We have no server and no way to see it:

Android's device backup is turned off for the App, so this data is not copied to your Google account. Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage deletes it. Purchases you paid for with real money are restored by Google Play (see 2.3).

2.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows rewarded ads, which you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game benefit (such as a Whirlpool to keep playing or double Light Drops), and occasional full-screen ads after some games. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob. Google's SDK in the App collects device and advertising information, such as your advertising ID and app set ID, general device and app information, how you interact with ads, diagnostic data, and your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location. Google uses it to select, show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. We don't receive or store this information ourselves.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the App shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. If you don't consent, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalised. You can change your choice at any time (see Section 8). Buying Zen Mode removes the full-screen ads; rewarded ads only ever play when you tap to watch one.

2.3 Purchases (Google Play Billing)

If you buy something in the App, such as Zen Mode or a palette pack, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment card or billing details. The App receives a confirmation of what you bought so it can unlock it, and asks Google Play for your past purchases so they are restored if you reinstall.

2.4 Google Play Games Services (leaderboard)

If you open Ranks, the App asks you to sign in with Google Play Games Services. If you do, Google provides the App your Play Games player ID, display name and avatar, and the App submits the final score of your runs to Google's leaderboard, where other players can see your display name and score. If you have signed in to Play Games before, Google may sign you in automatically when the App starts. If you never sign in, none of this happens. This sign-in and the data behind it are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

2.5 Automatically collected technical data

Google's SDKs bundled with the App (Google Play services, AdMob and its consent platform, Play Billing and Play Games Services) can independently collect standard technical data (device model, OS version, crash and diagnostic data, IP address) under Google's own privacy policy.

3How information is used

Because your game data stays on your device, there's very little for us to "use". Where information does leave your device, it's used only to:

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for anything beyond the features described here.

4How information is shared

Information is shared only with Google, as the provider of the services above. We don't sell data or share it with anyone else, except where required to comply with law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (in which case this Policy would continue to apply to your information).

These services are operated by Google independently of us. See Google's policies for detail beyond this summary, including how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

6Data retention

Data on your device (Section 2.1) stays until you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Data handled by Google's services (Sections 2.2 to 2.5) is kept according to Google's own retention practices. Leaderboard scores stay on Google's leaderboard until you delete your Play Games profile or its data.

7Children's privacy

Lumina Drop is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at mark@vuelvatech.com and we will take appropriate steps.

8Your choices & rights

9Data security

Your game data stays on your device, so its security mostly depends on your device's own protections (screen lock, OS updates, account security). Information sent to Google travels over encrypted connections, and Google maintains its own security programme. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10International transfers

Google may process information in countries other than your own, under its own compliance mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable) described in its privacy policy.

11Region-specific rights

European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland (GDPR)

We rely on your consent for personalised advertising, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → Privacy Options. Showing non-personalised ads, processing purchases and running the leaderboard you sign in to rely on providing the service you asked for and our legitimate interest in keeping the App free. You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability, to the extent we hold it. Because we hold none of your game data ourselves, most requests will concern data held by Google, and we're happy to point you in the right direction. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing". We do not sell personal information. Advertising through AdMob may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising; see Section 8 to opt out of ad personalisation on your device.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when a new feature changes what data the App handles (such as adding an analytics service). When we make material changes, we'll update the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, mention the change in the App.
